So I’ll be speaking at MAX this year, and my topic is “Advanced Flex Builder” which I could take in many directions. So, I’d like to ask the internets: What would you want out of an “advanced” Flex Builder talk?
Here are some of my initial thoughts:
- Advanced refactoring uses
- Coding from the framework source (project creation, etc)
- Design view tricks
- Debugger preferences and idiosyncrasies
- Profiler uses
- Managing data through web services, etc
- Optimizing Flex Builder for performance
Please leave comments: I’d really like to tailor this talk to the needs of the community. Thanks in advance!

Assuming that you’re speaking on FlexBuilder3, the key things I see as missing in FlexBuilder2 are the refactoring tools, and the ability to have design view work easily with custom components.
I’d like to see you get advanced as you can get. Of the above topics I’d like to see:
* Profiler uses
* Optimizing Flex Builder for performance
* Debugger preferences and idiosyncrasies
* Coding from the framework source (project creation, etc)
And perhaps a quick intro to eclipse plugin development with the Flex Builder API…
I think the flexbuilder3′s biggest feature needed to add is “realtime code error hint”, whick means while i’m coding wrong code it will immediately show red underline or warning icon in the border of edit-section, just like eclipse3.3 or Intellij6 and other powerful Java IDE.
I GREATLY HOPE THIS WOULD BE ACCOMPLISHED IN THE COMING FLEXBUIDER3.
